ABOUT The Jade League
The Jade League is a work of original fiction by Tiffany Shih. On a future Earth plagued by depression and corrupted government, crime lords have taken over major cities while rural areas, victims of the instability, descend deeper into poverty. Mages who had just begun to walk tall beside their fellow humans are now forced to live in secret. The story focuses on Mira, a young American-born French mage, and Etienne, the head of the resistance league in Paris.
ABOUT The Author
Tiffany Shih has been writing since... well, it's hard to say. She is an 18-year-old resident of California who loves reading, writing, drawing, dancing, creating computer graphics, and generating mass mayhem. In the past, she has written a variety of short stories and poems, both in and out of school. Her training includes one and a half years of Creative Writing: Poetry at her high school, during which she published a poetry chapbook, "Touched." Her poems have won both local and national recognition, and several have been published. She was most recently published in Saratoga High School's literary magazine, Soundings, with her short story, "Venture."
The Jade League is her most recent project, although she is simultaneously working on two other novel-length stories and sporadically writes shorts. She detests angstiness in bad taste and is easily blinded by poor grammar and spelling. While she has taken French for six years, she considers herself far from fluent and asks that any visitors to this site that are familiar with the language to please proofread.
